Welcome to the website for collaboration between U.S. and German researchers with a mutual interest in radioactive waste disposal in deep geologic salt repositories. In the year 2015 we conducted our 6th Workshop in Dresden Germany. On this page you can access information pertaining to the Dresden Workshop, readily navigate to other completed Workshops (see previous workshops) or find information of the upcoming 7th Workshop planned to be held in Washington D.C.  Major topics of the 6th Workshop included geomechanical issues of modeling, sealing, and differences between bedded and domal salt with respect to disposal of heat-generating waste. A complete agenda and list of participants can be found on this page. The Proceedings of the 6th Workshop will expected to be posted in January 2016.
